Amy Pas founded Amy’s Sign Design in 1993 after earning her BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Iowa. What began with hand-painted signs and word-of-mouth opportunities quickly grew into a full-service sign business. As demand increased, Amy invested in her first vinyl cutter—marking the beginning of decades of innovation and expansion.

Today, Amy’s Sign Design features a range of advanced equipment including multiple vinyl cutters, a CAD router, and a large-format digital printer, enabling the team to produce high-quality, custom signage for a wide variety of applications. Amy now leads a talented team of graphic designers and oversees daily operations, while still enjoying the chance to connect personally with customers.

In 2024, Amy, along with team members Angela and Melisa, earned 3M Preferred Installer Certifications for windows, walls, and flooring graphics—a milestone that has opened the door to exciting new projects.

Outside of the shop, Amy is passionate about giving back to the community. In 2013 she co-founded the Lakes Area Dog Park, a six-acre off-leash park and registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. She also serves as director of the Imagination Library of Dickinson County, a book gifting program that mails free books to over 400 local children each month. Additionally, she is an active member of the Arnolds Park Library Board.

In her free time, Amy enjoys golfing, boating, traveling, and spending time with her family.
